INDUSTRIAL EXHAUST CONTROL FUNDAMENTALS EXPLAINED

I need to build far more airflow and produce cleaner air. Can I eliminate the 5″ electrostatic cartridges and the one″ pre filter and insert a 4″ pleated merv8 air filter as an alternative?
